Losing My Job

Trusting God was a lot easier when I was just talking about it. I recently found out that I am not going to have a teaching job after June which is not nearly as depressing as the idea that I won’t have a paycheck either. And my house has only one floor. Throwing myself out of the window would only just land me safely on the lawn. Way too anticlimactic.

I just want to remind you, Joel, that our God is called the "Last-Minute God." It's one of his names. It's actually one of my least-favorite names -- but it's one of the ones I'm very familiar with. He has promised to provide (that's one of his names as well), and He WILL provide. In the meantime, you have a wonderful opportuniy to strengthen your trust in Him. I love you and Che so much and I'm praying.

I think Mom takes you too seriously. :) Like you might actually jump out of some second-story window. Hahaha!

Sorry about your job, bro. That's a huge problem. It will be interesting to see how God gets you through this one, huh? He always does.
